Bridging the Gap: From Fear to Trust

A 5-Part Series on Navigating Nonapparent Disabilities and Workplace Culture

Live, virtual training | 90 minutes per session | All sessions recorded

Employees have always had visible and less visible strengths and challenges, various learning styles, and unique personal and professional needs. What’s different today is that we are beginning to recognize and discuss these more openly.

Bridging the Gap: From Fear to Trust equips participants with the skills needed to listen with understanding and empathy, connect through shared experience, and reduce friction in conversations. It also helps them decrease fear, build trust, and contribute to creating an adaptable, evolving workplace.

Over these five interactive sessions, attendees will explore strategies to:

  • Recognize how experiences and beliefs influence workplace dynamics

  • Use communication tools that move organizations from confusion to clarity

  • Strengthen self-trust and empowerment through full participation

  • Prepare organizations to embrace and support a wider range of needs

  • Co-design programs and products that consider all experiences

Who is this for? Leaders, managers, employees, and allies who want to build workplaces that work for everyone.

  • “Who am I allowed to be here?”

📅 [Tuesday, October 7th, 10-11:30 am PT, 1-2:30 pm ET]

Every employee brings more than their job title. They bring experiences, strengths, challenges, and unique ways of engaging that aren’t always visible on the surface. This session explores how identity and expression shape workplace dynamics and how leaders can build awareness that reduces misunderstandings.

  • “Why is this so hard to talk about?”
📅 [Tuesday, November 4th, 10-11:30 am PT, 1-2:30 pm ET]

Not all needs are immediately visible, but they still shape how people show up. Health conditions, sensory needs, differences in processing, or personal challenges can quietly affect performance and morale. Leaders will learn how to notice these dynamics, reduce friction, and adapt in ways that support sustainable success.

  • “Am I allowed to ask for what I need?”
📅 [Tuesday, December 2nd, 10-11:30 am PT, 1-2:30 pm ET]

Our own beliefs about ourselves influence how we see and respond to others. This session explores how personal narratives and self-perceptions affect relationships, decision-making, and team dynamics. Leaders will learn how to recognize and interrupt these “invisible stories” to support healthier and more effective workplaces.

  • “What if people just believed me?”
    📅 [Tuesday, January 6th, 10-11:30am PT, 1-2:30pm ET]

Asking for what we need — and listening when others do — is one of the hardest skills in the workplace, especially when needs aren’t obvious. This session equips leaders with tools to support open dialogue around adjustments, assists, and access needs. By creating space for vulnerability and trust, leaders reduce fear and increase collaboration.

Trust is the foundation of strong teams. This session explores what helps people feel safe enough to contribute ideas, share concerns, and participate fully. Participants practice approaches that lower defensiveness, increase connection, and strengthen team collaboration.

  • “How do we design for all bodies?”
    📅 [Tuesday, February 3rd, 10-11:30am PT, 1-2:30pm ET]

Adaptability is the foundation of resilient organizations. This doesn’t stop at the interpersonal level — it must be built into systems. This final session is a participatory design lab, where we move from conversation to co-creation. You’ll explore how to embed inclusion into your policies, workflows, and culture in sustainable ways that don’t rely on one-time accommodations or burnout.

Let’s stop walking on eggshells.

Let’s build something braver.
